well thanks all of you.

the reason why i considered the 325 was for the looks alone.

my current x3 2.0d has got looks as well, but its a lazy verhicle with boring characteristics. I am averaging 9,3 combined driving. Usually 10 if I enjoy myself a bit more.

I do think that a 330d is a beast of a car, but now am just wondering whats is more important. Power and fun of driving or size...

I am planning to go away this weekend, I assume I will know my answer once I get back if I would be happy with the sedan as well.

Oh, the 330d I was looking at is at 46000km, 2011, and in white, with the m-sports pack :)

PS - i guess i need to figure out what is more important, power or size. (the cool thing about the X3 is I can drive over side walks... when I turn around next to the sea. But besides that I have not had much use for it yet).

I think where its 2.0d annoys me is at the 120-140km/h mark. As it has got not enough power there to quickly accelerate and overtake. In its pull away its ok - I am reasonably happy with that.

LOL, everyone seems to be giving advice on which is fastest and most economical. I'm sure I stand alone on this one, as far as it goes to buy an expensive E90 sedan at this stage of its life cycle is a bit dangerous.

I would say that a 330d or any expensive E90 at this stage would not be the wisest purchase ever. For one book values are tumbling on the E90 as the F30 has been sold, so by the time you want to resell the vehicle, you may take a knock e.g. friend of mine bought a new vehicle in 2010 320d sport, he still owing R340K on the car, and its very difficult for him to get rid of the car as the dealers will not give that price to settle bank, partly due to the fact that the new model is launched as well (lots of people wanting to trade-in or sell their E90s). Also come resell time, most people would be looking for a used F30, and you would be competing with a whole lot of E90 owners trying to sell off their E90s, have a look on gumtree how many E90s are for sale (take your pick), its a buyers market as they can shop around for the best priced vehicle.

The coupe generally holds its value a bit better than the sedan, as fewer sold, so if you looking at choosing between E90 and E92, I would suggest the 335i E92. Secondly 2 door, always is the bomb, has its own style and appeal.........:praise:
