Need for speed Most Wanted

Been playing NFS Most Wanted (PS3) for the last few days and really enjoying it. It's very "Arcady" compared to a real driving simulator, but definitely enjoyable. A bit of a refreshing difference from the games I have been playing (i.e. GT5, NFS Shift 2), so I think that's also why I'm enjoying this title. If you're after a realistic driving experience, stay far away from this game though.

Just for reference, here is now my new top 3 driving/racing games:

1. Dirt 2
2. GT5
3. NFS Most Wanted

Still got a long way to go with playing Most Wanted though, so my opinion may change as the game progress. For now, I'm liking it a lot!

For some reason I like the feeling of most wanted. It brings that subtle realism in a game for me. Instead of just racing happily and doing whatever you want with no limits. It gives me that little adrenaline rush knowing that you have to get out of this situation.

I have been playing it on XBox 360... Enjoying it a lot...

I'm not a huge fan of simulators... Prefer this style of game..

I am waiting eagerly for the reincarnation of Carmageddon to launch.. As it will be a first day buy for me...

The most realistic driving sim that I have played is Rfactor 2.

Its currently in BETA and I am a BETA tester for the SIM. Its unreal.

The Simulator at Silverstone used to train drivers uses the Rfactor 1 engine.

If you want an amazing driving experience with the most realistic force feedback in any racing sim, as well as the most realistic tire physics, then get hold of Rfactor 2. Its awesome!!!

The old Most Wanted was a better game IMO. I played the new Most Wanted for about 2 hours and nothing more since. Was a let down in the first place as it wasn't what I expected and then I don't like the fact that you have to drive around to look for cars all the time. Feels kinda like I'm playing GTA looking for all the nice cars to steal. Graphics looks nice though.

Seeing that new Most Wanted is by Criterion Games, it would be arcade-ish... Also if you played Burn Out Paradise also by Criterion Games, you would see alot of familiar backgrounds and roads. So it seems that Most Wanted is a polished up version of B.O. Paradise with actual car names, i.e. BMW, Ford, Nissan, etc.

*FYI* for the PC version, if you are experiencing any game lags while playing, simply go to the following location on your PC: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Criterion Games\Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted, you will find a file called "config.NFS13Save".

- Open the file with NotePad.
- You will see the following line saying "LockTo30=false"
- replace the value "false" with "true" so it will read as "LockTo30=true"
- Close the file and click YES to save the updated file

I have seen an improvement in the gameplay since making the above change, just thought I could share this info :=):
