Need advice on buying e92 M3

Hi guys

As it states I am thinking of buying a used M3 2008 model.i will be trading in my e92 325i Coupe.

The beast in question has a very low 38k on the clock and is in near perfect condition!the previous owner spends most of his time overseas for work and leaves the car in a carpeted garage under duvet covers when not in use!!
Unfortunately it does not have sat-nav(which I don't really mind).
What does niggle me is that it is a NON-m dynamic model.
Price is a reasonable R400k (I think it's pretty reasonable but you have to help me on this, as I'm not really sure)

The most important question is how much of a difference does the m-dynamic pack add the car??my brother bought a 2010 WITH the m-dynamic a few weeks ago but we haven't really played around with the settings at all yet so I'm asking you guys!!!

Should I go for it or should I wait for an m-dynamic to come along.as you might know, it's really hard to find these cars at this age with such low mileage.

Oh and it has a manual box!!

Your opinions will be very much appreciated.

Oh before I forget, I will be buying from a BMW dealership and the car still has one year of extended motorplan left which is a bonus!

This one to

But also white. I think a white M3 looks damn good. Especially with the black roof.

Yes I have PM'd this guy a few minutes ago.awaiting his reply.
Thing is I have to either sell my car first( don't know if he is willing to wait) or trade in for the car I mentioned initially at the start of the thread⬆️⬆️
It's a bitch when your stuck with a trade-in!

Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!
I guess the color of the car doesn't really matter I suppose.as long as the ride makes your knuckles white!and other ppl get green with envy the paintwork is just an extra!

It took me a while to find the right M. I'm so glad I was patient and listened to M3FTW, cos M Dynamic option is freakin awesome!!!
If you can be patient, I would wait for one with MDM.
It's not a train smash if you get one without it, it's still an M :=):

Ok thanks for the advice ZMC.I also feel that one shouldn't rush into things.

But what exactly can one modify(settings-wise) with the MDM?harden/soften the suspension?change the exhaust-note??

I still don't know what the MDM does???

MDM is a nice to have, not a must have. Had a V8 M3 before with it, never used it at all.

Thank you @Demontweaked!!

That's pretty much exactly what I wanted to hear!!im taking the car out tomorrow for a proper test drive!!i only have about 30min of free time today and that is not enough!so I'm rather gonna wait till then to make up my mind!

But other than that I think I'm pretty much sold on it!!!

I still maintain that a car's condition/mileage is FAR more important than the stupid extra toys it has, or what colour it is.

Regarding the M dynamic - It is a nice to have, but I would not have spent extra money on it if I had to order the car from new.

MDM is a function where you can access all your pre set settings at the touch of 1 button. It also raises the threshold where the DSC starts intervening.

It makes no difference in power or sound

It should still be extendable to the end of this year (well based on DoM or delivery, can never remember), and to do an extension on time vs mileage is a lot cheaper. You've got nothing to lose!
Notice the towel on the passenger seat? Could be a very fastidious owner.

@Fordkoppie thank you for the advice.i also agree that the color is not really the issue!and the one I'm looking at is in pristine mint condition!!!

Thanks for making it clear what the MDM does!!!
