Nav system upgrade?

Anyone updated their nav OS?

I'm running MK4 version 1/60 (4-1/60) on my X5. I've seen guys in the US have upgrade to 4-1/100, which provides 3D maps.

Anyone try this out?

I downloaded the newer version (4-1/100) and upgraded the OS.

I now have 3D maps :excited: :excited:
Also, the splash screen has changed from the boring mono BMW logo to ///M in full colour.

Not sure what other elements have changed. Will check over the weekend and report back, if anyone is interested.

BTW, this should work in E46 M3's with MK4 nav systems, as I got the s/w from a UK M3 forum.

So far, everything seems to work 100%. Here's some pics after the upgrade:

If anyone wants the ISO file, give me a shout ... should work on all MKIV systems. Upgrade takes about 5 mins.

BTW, I downloaded and ran V31 (which is version 4-1/100) without any issues.

I'm about to upgrade my MKIII CD-Nav OS.
The MkIII doesn't support the 3D View or Perspective View, but the rest looks the same, including the Split Screen.

Maybe we can do a DIY or copy from M5Board or Xoutpost ?
