I need to know from you boys who will make it in order to know how many kids we can help. Its gonna cost you a new toy and a packet of sweets or chips. (Its a Christmas party.) I already have a venue and I have arranged to get the children that's terminal and might not make it until the end of this year. This ranges from kids that's got terminal cancer to kids dying from other illnesses. I need to confirm by Friday how many kids she must give me. The more of you that pulls your figure out of your arses and sees the need to bring joy to these kids lives the more we can help.

We have so much to be thankful and for heaven sake we already have a bad name as bm drivers, lets change that mind set and show we are bm drivers that care.

This is going to be hard but seeing a smile on their faces will make it worth every cent, breath and ounce of time going into this.

List names and if you have a sponsor, please let me know what they willing to sponsor and if you want me to talk to them.

I have got a christmas father already and yes in return Im gonna be one of the elfs. (Kobus there we go now everyone knows.) Im gonna try get the fire brigade to bring santa in with a massive chirstmas tree.

This will be on the 2nd of December. Will give you more info as soon as I have Number and amount of children.

Well I`m in, I also might bring my brother along, he does unfortunately drive a Jetta but he said he would love to join. Also have a sponsor lined up, will talk to him again once we have some details as to what all is needed, how ever he did say a cash donation will probably be a better idea.

Guys, it's time to pull together and really make this the best run this forum has ever done.

I am so looking forward to this, bringing a smile to these kids faces, even if it is their last Christmas.

as mentioned earlier in this thread or another similar one, I would love to join, but our december rosters only get published around the 15/16th November, so no firm commital from my side until I see what the "work" has planned for me....but if I am "OFF" then count me in..

I believe a few more members are in a similar situation to mine.

maybe create a "possible/tentative" names list as well.

I've planned a braai with friends this weekend with the intention of getting them involved in this event, either donating or joining so I'm not sure of the numbers as yet. Myself and the wife are definately confirmed.

Guys just remember these kids are getting sponsored in hospital costs food etc, this is a Christmas party for the kiddies so all donations should go into making their dreams come true, toys, sweets fun things.

Note this is not an organization that needs to feed the children, its mainly children who's parents cant effort hospitalization etc. So just careful of food hampers etc. These children are on strict diets due to various illnesses.

PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOUR SPONSORS WILL BE DONATING BEFORE I PUT THE LIST UP OF THEIR NEEDS!!!!

Perhaps that would work better. Donate X amount of cash into a kitty.. then go use it to buy toys etc.

Pink as soon as you have details let me know so I can talk to the guy that said he will sponsor coz I think if everybody brings a toy and a sweet pack and we donate a cash amount to the place providing the care for the kids it might take some strain off of the parents as well.

I think I will go to the bank this afternoon and find out what account they can offer me so we can use this account from here on out for all the runs. Then for every run we can just donate the amount thats left to whom ever we did the specific charity run for.

How does that sound?
