Well - its a common item. Unless you want to be stranded on the road then I'd say change it. I'm just over 140k and seems to be fine. No errors on the scanner either.
I don't have high hopes for the part though. It's a case of "when" and not "if" it breaks

sadly though, after replacing waterpump and t-stat, i still had coolant level low warning. did some investigation and found that my sensor on the bottom of the expansion tank was faulty. got a new one from goldwagen @ R67. 10mins to replace and all is now well. which leads me to believe that my sensor was probably the initial cause of the overheat warning as the old pump is functioning still.
did a lookup and the pump was replaced under warranty recall @92k![]()
non the less, at least now i know its something to now worry about for some timemgwaiting:
