N54 Single Turbo

Youll need a new manifold, turbo, downpipe, oil feed and return, water feed and return, intake and a few other bits and bobs depending on the setup

Im not sure if there is a kit available for RHD..

I would rather have everything made locally, importing a kit will cost a fortune

why not upgrade your existing turbos
theres big power to be made from bigger twins
that is my intention when my turbos give kak
and will be cheaper

get RB turbos.... I am about a 7 hour drive from Rob Beck`s shop. I will eventually like to get my hand on the turbos he makes

Vishnus only for LHD apparently.

Go for RB turbos or even turbodynamics has a kit.

Just for reference the Turbodynamics make substantially less power than the RB's.

Any advise or contacts to convert a N54 to single turbo?
What are the things I need and what needs to change

If your car is auto do not bother as the box lets go at anything above 500whp. If you cap it at that with tuning you just going to have peaky power band vs the modified twins.

There are no known RHD kits. So it has to be custom. If you insist on doing it Rob Beck of RB turbos sells the special flanges that attach to the heads and that is a start. Lambda placement and trickery is important and it will make or break the kit. Get a yank tuner on board if you get the pipe work right because no one local will tune it or be willing to take a shot at it. All of this assuming a decent size I.e. Greater in flow than a set of RB's can fit.
