Hey mate
I'm no pro, but seems the error is linked to your o2 sensors. The o2 sensor do effect fueling so that might cause strong fuel smell?
Have you done anything to your DP's? Normally get o2 errors once you go catless and you get a bit more smell, but worth it!
I've had my N54 for nearly a year and learned crap loads from the forum. Great motors, but not without their share of problems. Would change mine for anything though.
