n54 HPFP

What options are you guys using for hpfp issues, agents are close to 15k for a new unit, anybody reconditioning them locally or other reasonable replacement options?:dunnoanymore:

Just make sure it is actually the pump and not the lpfp sensor or something else.

Agree with above, scan for fault codes to check.

I went down this route with the X3, first replaced the fuel pressure sensor, and then with a pirate pump which I brought in from the UK.

Been about 18months and no issues since then.

As mentioned above, just make sure that is is the HPFP before you invest in another one cause they are quite expensive.

as per Kish, check with ABM for a price on the pump as they offer awesome discounts.

Think your mistaken regarding the price, bmw should sell you for 5-6k provided u give them your old one note that's the price excluding fitment

Hey guys, just a quick update.

Did confirm it was the hpfp after which i contacted ABM, service was excellent and the saving was incomparable to other dealerships, I couriered to durban the same day of purchase, pump was at my door the next morning.

Hpfp fitted, problem solved!
