Morning Gents,

Im new to this forum, and am seeking some info regarding changing my stock charge pipe and diverter valves to the dual Turbo-Smart Blow off valve setup and charge pipe.

i have a 2010' 335i with DCT trans, just wondering sound wise, ive had a manual turbo vehicle and the manual shift allows enough time to actually hear the blow off sound.

Would you still hear the sound with the DCT transmission because of the shift being much faster? Would it be a worthwhile mod?

Plans for the car are to go JB4 as soon as i return home.

All input & advice welcome :)

Welcome.

I've been fortunate enough to have a go in one with that combination and you can't really hear it when changing up.

Hey Dane,

I drive a manual N54 135i and even when shifting quick the car won't dump (that it's audible) I've got the COBB charge pipe with the Xcell DV (blanked the other opening so it's just 1 DV) And the COBB Accessport v3

With you having a DCT the only time you'll hear it is when you come off of boost but remain in that gear. You won't hear it during up shifts at w.o.t

You won't hear it between shifts but it is evident when you let off the throttle while in boost.

It's still a worthwhile mod, though, as the OEM charge pipe is prone to crack, even under stock boost levels.

I'm running a tail setup....while it's barely audible between shifts, the sounds when you cruising and let go of the throttle is too good. It's a mod I will never look back on. Absolutely love it.
