Hi Fellow Enthusiasts,

I am wanting to replace the coil packs and injectors on my 2008 N54 engine. Can anyone tell me where to get quality versions of these parts (index 12 injectors and latest coil packs) and their approximate costs? Or should I only get from a BMW dealership?

Thanks

Speak to Deago at Auto Bavaria Midrand:
I paid R650 per Coil (Delphi)
and new OEM Index12 Injectors are around R3800 with discount. May vary though.

Coil packs can be bought from Goldwagen, Imcomex, Alert... From what I understand they are much of a muchness.

You could have your injectors tested and cleaned professionally for cheaper than replacing them, even if they need to be serviced and have parts replaced.

Bosch injectors are quite easy to find but yours are probably Siemens and it seems only dealers bring them in.

Agree with the views above...stick with OEM coils. The index 12 injectors are very expensive, anything from R3,600 upwards for a single injector. You may find used index 12s from forumites here which will save you some money. Hopefully, a BMW dealer will give you a solid discount on new ones.

I found the article below quite interesting, basically saying not to mix and match when it comes to coil packs but rather to replace all at the same time:
