Hi all,
I'm new around here and I'm researching on potential issues with the 320d and 330d.
I'm in the market for a used 320d or 330d therefore the research.
I've noticed in overseas forums about an apparent issue with the N47 and related turbo diesel engines. It seems the teeth on the timing chain sprocket used on the 2007 and onwards N47 engines is too sharp and causes excessive wear on the chain leading to chain failure from about 100000 km onward.

Are there any local instances?
