@007...Thanks for the post on that valve! It's a real nice write up with pics which makes it an easy read and understand. Did you remove the cats then and was there a nottible difference.
..btw..was the leaking pipe the only prob you ever had on that engine...just asking as it seems we both have the n46b20 motor.

Thanks man

Easy to remove, will have to replace its oil seal thogh, else it leaks.

Ok, it leaks worse :)

Hmm when I pick up the fuel filter from you, will you point it out to me?

Okay guys, so i took it to sac this morning and they came to the conclusion that there definitely is a problem with low ref torque... but they checked the car and can't find a problem. They even checked the valvetronic system and says it's 100%. So i asked them to kill the cats. I will have to keep you guys posted...and if that doesn't work i guess it's back t

Okay guys. So I got my car back and it does seem better. Killed the cats, re callibrated the propshaft (was causing vibration) and put in n unichip. Not much difference in performance (at 89kw on wheels)....but the funny thing is that at peak torque the car is at 2200rpm's. Anyway, will keep you guys posted.
Thanks for all the help and input.
Great forum!

How much to recalibrate the shaft? and how did you know that was the cause of the vibration?

Well it cost me R3000-00 which is not pocket change but at least it's sorted. Picked it up when they ran it on the dyno...vibration.

Glad to hear yours is better.
I've killed my cat, (HAHAHA ) and my car doesn't vibrate terribly, but when I put it in reverse even if the clutch is still in it vibrates... wonder what that could be.
Also if I compare it to my moms audi 1.8- on hers I can let the clutch out slowly and it'll move forward without touching acc, mine on the other hand rattles and struggles.

BMW straight 4.. It's a love-hate thing we have going on...

Hahahahahaha.....I couldn't have said it better.
It's just that one wants everything to be perfect. For instance, me seatbelt light comes on then goes off...irrespective if i pug in the seatbelt or not( but i heard that it could be a setting they change on the computer). I also have the same problem on the clutch and i can sometimes (especially when i pushed it hard) hear something that sounds lose when i leave the clutch. Like something on the clutchplate is lose. SAC told me this is normal but I'm not so sure. And then there is the fact then when i drive a bumpy road it feels very lose, ducking and diving all over. Hahahahahaha....quite a mouthfull. :roflol:
But I'm sure I'll get all the issues sorted with time, I guess thats why i joined the forum.

HAHA it's good we can laugh about this... cornering on a bumpy road the front right shock or brace or bushing or something down there clonks and klanks, at that point I look around to make sure no forum members are around to hear that s**t! :yuck:

I've also noticed the seatbelt and always wonders what the hell? why has it never worked... not that I want that annoying beat telling me what to do, but I want it to work any way lol
