Hi Guys

Got an email today from Clear Strategy Company who are conducting a Aftersales survey on behalf of BMW.

They your car that is due for a service to test the level of service by using hidden cameras on someone who poses as a customer.

They give you a loan car for the day and they ensure that everything is done on your car as expected. The only requirement is that it has to be under motorplan.

My question, has anybody heard of these guys and whether BMW conducts such surveys? I don't want to blindly hand my car over to someone I have not checked out first.

could be legit.. however i would check and double check and triple check any company before handing my car over in such a scenario..

What incentive is there for you?
If you are getting something good in recompense, its something to triple check and consider, if theres nothing in it for you, tell them to go eat shit.

They can take one of their own cars, and run this type of tests. why do they need an ordinary guy on the street to provide his car.

The only thing that is slightly advantageous is that they pick up your car wherever and whenever suits you and you get a BMW loan car for the day.

However, you need to check with your insurance whether someone else is allowed to drive your car. This seems to mean to me that you carry the risk for the person driving your car, which is sort of a deal breaker for me.

I'll try to find out if there is more of an incentive but at this stage the risk outweighs the benefit.

The are a legit company, I know this because I was at their offices last week Monday as part of a Fiat 500/Mini/Audi A1 focus group. They had a new small Opel on display to gauge market interest.

BUT

My opinion is that this is an awesome idea

To be on the safe side tell them you would gladly assist they
can install all the hidden cameras they feel like but you would
take your car to BMW wait and pick it up your self

Don't let anyone drive away with your car not knowing them personally

I don't care what the incentive is, besides the Missus (and my bro's when I bought my cars) nobody else drives my cars.

After sleeping on it for a couple of nights I have come to the conclusion that it is not worth the risk and I will not be taking part in the survey.

If anybody else is willing to participate and your car is still under motor plan you can PM me and I'll put you in contact with the lady who approached me.
