Hi Gents
Its been a while since my last posts.
I have been licking my wounds and forking out lots of cash to get my M3 Turbo sorted.
After owning my Audi RS3 for over a year now- thats the longest I have ever owned one car I decided I needed a change.
So the search began AMG or M Division.
I drove many cars, lots of M5's a few CLS and E63's and eventually decided on the M5.
The F10 is simply more driver focused than the 63's, even if they do make more power and put it down better.
Plus the M5 has always been a halo car for me since my V10 M6.
I can tell you it was pretty daunting collecting the car from the dealership. In a sea of 1 series and 3 series there sat this solitary monster. It is probably the most intimidating car I have taken delivery of.
Initial impressions:
- fit and finish are great. Tactile experience is top notch.
- great spec. Includes B&O, lane departure, surround view
- exhaust note is less than inspiring
- ride is firm but compliant
- power delivery is quite brutal. Since it makes max boost from 2500rpm the tires just light up, even on part throttle
- nice cosseting cabin, shrinks around you
All in all I am ecstatic and truly blessed to own this car.
