My tendency to allegedly speed has come back to bite me... how to sort out paint chips?

Hey guys,
So I live in Cape Town, when on the N1/N2 at night one might consider it tough not to go a little quick there (wink wink). But I have now noticed some chips/scratches appearing on my bumper and bonnet. On the bonnet its mostly very tiny chips the size of a grain of dirt. But on the bumper the lower you go it can get a little bigger. How do I sort this out before it becomes a problem like rusting, etc.?

You can use a touch up pen (even just clear). to address the larger chips. Your bumper obviously won't rust, but you may want to respray it and do PPF. If the bonnet is not too bad you can do the pen touch ups, polish it and then PPF it without respraying. You replace the PPF every 4 years or so (depending on how pitted it is as well as how good the PPF is). Just bear in mind the larger particles will still get through the PPF and in some cases become embedded in it... but this is at very high speeds on fairly messy roads with another car at high speed in front at you adding more momentum to the dirt as well (I have experienced this on my 4C with full front PPF)

This "tendency" mentioned here got me a nice little letter in the post yesterday, happened in the Parow area, they popping up all over with their mobile units lately.

You and me both... you and me both... luckily the ones in Constantia always use the same spots haha, so Im safe so far. Only been caught by the average Speed trap in Rhodes drive coming from town up to UCT area

Thank you for the help! Going to look into this. I have a couple bad chips. They super small, the size of some dirt, but I can see silver through the chip so it must be quite deep.

After decades of trying to sort out stone chips...I value a car more that's driven and has road rash yet still in original paintwork.

Panel shops are hit or miss these these. More miss. Then the "has paintwork" valuers devalue your car.....

Drive it...enjoy it. Make memories. Fk the stone chips.
