Firstly, congratulations on the new car... They are great cars, I have a 2015 gti performance pack, and I love it, also still have the 335, it is way quicker but the golf is much more modern, current, and fun. I also have a golf 7 R but of all 3, my gti has the best of all worlds and I say this because it's comfy to use daily and has ample power. The R is as quick as 335 for town driving but as hard as the 335 too! Gti ftw:cartel: you will enjoy it...

P.s : the handling is epic compare to a 335...

Thanks a mill bud. I do agree that the golf is extremely modern and the lil toys make up for the lack of power. The Handling is tops, I think that's down to the diff though. As a every day car its a total winner, I just wish I could poke its ass out in a corner.

Maybe after Jb and DP it will transform.

So I haven't posted much since I got the car, she has been trouble free and I haven't really changed much.

2 Months back I picked up a TMSS DP from a mate of mine, that really made me fall inlove with the car, will never compare to my old snow white (x35i) but she certainly holds her own. DP really gave her a nice growl under load and lots of pops and crackles. Unfortunately I didn't manage to take any pics.

The about three weeks back this color was starting to annoy me so I whipped out the car wash apparatus and got to work. 12 hours later this was the result, all carpro products used:

And theeeeen this weekend I found a set of wheels, need to wash the car so apologies for the horrible pics:
Rims are 20" Vossen CVT's

Next to come is a drop, its probably going to be a small drop, 25mm eibach but still to decide.

Thank for looking :ty::ty:

Looks lovely dude, thats an EPIC rim and i can only imagine how nice that DP sounds!:praise::praise::praise: :cartel:

however, As a friend...i must say you are asking for trouble with the tyre and rim combo cause i can see a moerse stretch on it.

Are you planning on going wider on the tyres to help the lips or you going to let CoJ have the honour of de-virginizing your rims? :tiptoe:

GOD forbid any of the bad stuff happens to the car!:RedNo:

Hey Bru,

Ya I am also concerned with the stretch however I am more concerned with the rubbing on a 235 tyre. Will definitely try it out if I can get my hands on a set.

Right now the car does very very very little mileage, under 800kms a month on the same roads day in day out.

Will run this combo for a little while and then decide what to do. The offset and J is perfect, its just the tyre concerning me. Some people say the 235 will work, others say it will rub, I guess it will be trial and error for now.

The stretch isn't too bad compared to what I have seen on some other rides but this is also subjective, chances are I will change the rim for something 8.5J if I find something I like.

Congrats on the Gti. I must sayi too came so close to changing my 335 for a Gti 7. Unfortunately (???) MP approved a new motor for my 335i. Needless to say I still have my 335. That Gti consumption vs power is something else though. Wishing you trouble free motoring.
