Some of the guys here know I have been a BMW Fanatic for years but I found myself quite taken by the Swedish lady.....

Picked her up this week.
2011 Model with 93,500 km’s and full service history.
Volvo S60 T6 AWD Geartronic.

Going for a Polestar flash next week.

Aaaaawwwww man I love it.
Seriously, I am a major Volvo fan.

These T6 models are quick off the line and super comfy.
Definitely more a long distance missile than a robot racer

I have a BMW F10 530d and love the car. It’s fantastic on fuel consumption. Has 190 KW and 560 Nm torque.
It does not have the satisfying smooth power delivery of the Volvo 6 cylinder petrol engine. 225 KW and 400 Nm Torque before Polestar.
Can’t wait to see how responsive it will be after.

The only problem with Volvo is the keeping it for life,

Sadly not by choice......

I’ve read quite a few threads on here where people are opting for other brands. Is this the sign of the fall for bmw? :eek:mgwaiting:

I don't think so. This is a site for car enthusiasts and everyone has different tastes. It's always nice to see something different.

Thanks for all the well wished. Took it for a run today and it’s hugely entertaining. Sleeper. Polestar next week :=):

How much does Polestar software optimisation cost these days? Would be good if the dealer can perform a before and after dyno test

These Volvo's are great, I actually test drove a T5 just this weekend. They're fantastic bang for buck.

I also sat in a loaded F20 125i and I have to say, it's a fantastic place to be. It feels super snug in comparison to the E90 and it feels like the quality is just on another level

Why do you guys say you will be keeping a Volvo for life?

Because the Volvo will still be perfect beyond 100kkm....

Some people have the perception that no one will buy it second hand for a decent price, much like any other brand especially BMW's, AUDI's etc..

I dont think so. A lot of F30 owners are selling because the G20 is right around the corner, which will drop their resale value, I bet. Suddenly its the "old one".
I'm hoping for a unified "car fanatics" forum, but I wonder if that will ever work? BMW fanatics are the best I've seen, and this site is great. Unless I'm blind, I cant find a decent South African forum for any other specific brand.
