yip... the old ones i had compressed and the drive was terrible...i will never do it again.... reason was that no one had stock of lowering springs for e90 at the time i did suspension and shocks...

i got them from Ryan.. Emd20v he is a agent for Vogtland... he had them on special for 3k shipped to me... cost 1200 to fit with alignment..

it really feels like a different car with them on...
What old springs did you use?
What shocks did you go with? Stock ones or Koni?
I see you mention you had the suspension done. Does this mean you changed all the rubbers on the suspension side?

R3k ain't that bad. Think Eibach is R4k. How does it compare against Eibach and H&R?
Maybe I miss read it somewhere, how many mm did the springs drop your car?

The old ones were the m sport originals that came off my car... i had complete control arms upper and lower rack ends shocks shock mountings stabilzer links all replaced. 40/25 drop...

i can say its about the same as the eibach but also i had eibach on my benz... so different cars...

Maybe that's why my car looks so low. Maybe my springs also collapsed. Do you mind pm me the details of the suspension parts you installed? Pricing and where you bought them from.
I'd like to do mine as well if I don't sell it. Still holding thumbs that it gets sold though.
But I think if I keep it, it might be a good idea to freshen up the suspension on the car.
40mm front and 25mm rear right?
Was thinking this morning, if I can drive with 19's in Kuruman then I can drive with a slight drop as well:fencelook:

Man that looks good.

@cornel , failed shocks can also make the car sit lower as the spring is holding all the weight of the car.

I got them tested and they said everything is fine on the car. I just want to do it to freshen everything up. But like I said if I don't get it sold.

My take on the shock is that, the machine tests whether it is good or not, and the tester can either give you a percentage or a fail/pass result.

If the shock passes at 45% and the pass mark is 40%, there is still the fact that the shock is barely passing, it still functions as it should, but is nowhere as good as new.

I have seen two e92's and have heard of a 3rd one also where the springs itself actually "droop" with age, so when new shocks and lowered springs are fitted, the rear of the car actually went up
