Awesome Saber..Looks very clean
Wish you and the wife many safe miles to come:thumbs:

Buy mine Beemster

Last week I spend a little time on little "Bella" (as my daughter named her)

Gave her a oil change with some fresh Shell Helix, and a new oil filter. Also bleed the brakes. Bought a new tire, balancing done on all 4 wheels and spare, and while at it, did alignment again.

Then gave her a wash, clay bar treatment, polish and ended off with canuba wax. Will redo once I have some sealant and more goodies that's on its way (and after harassing poor Yulz over whatsapp asking for more advice), as I believe she can still shine more, there is a few swirl marks left on the roof. Was done on limited available time.

Here is some pics.

great stuff sabre, hand polish or machine...? Its all about the right combo for your paint. I am forever learning on the detailing side. Lots of info also available on the crazydetailer forum, not sure if the waxon forum is still running.

A bit of both actually, used the machine and went by hand. I do read up about it a lot, but when lazy I just use whatsapp

Suppose one can pay someone to do it, but where is the fun in that, I love to DIY.

So its been a month since I bought this car.

I generally don't do a lot of mileage, but little Bella covered 2360km since I took delivery. I even took her on a open road trip of 860km to Vryburg and back (Beemer's wheels was send in for refurbishment). I have only had joy with this car, fuel consumption was great, and she even did very well on the open road. I can for the life of me not think of a very valid reason, why I used to pull up my nose whenever the conversations about cars involved the Koreans.

Awesome little car, nearly time to hand her over to her real owner, before I get to sleep outside.

Should have seen Jerry's face when I pulled up his driveway in it. :biglol:

Cant believe its been a year already. How time flies. Car now on 91 000km, so I added 16600km since I bought it.

Gave it a full service last week. Car went in for a fresh cambelt, new pulleys and decided to replace all 3 belts while at it. A coolant flush will be done this weekend.

Car is serving me very well, will post some pics soon

I was in the exact same car with the SR (street racing lol) trim. She served me well. Surprisingly nippy. Virtually no mechanical issues in the 5 years I had her, and I made a good bit of cash when I sold her.

I love the trim on the SR. Luck I had was I managed to buy her for nearly R20k under retail. Never selling it.

Been a while since I posted anything here, partly due to the fact, that I mostly did normal maintenance, and nothing has gone wrong thankfully, and mostly cause its a non BMW car, being posted on a BMW forum.

But here is a few pics I took, after i finally got time to give, Bella a spit and polish.

Great looking car. Your hand job... argh... I mean't, arm work paid off. Never thought I would even give a second look to any non-german car.

Glad to see it serving you so well.
