Howsit Guys,
Its about time I start the thread for the new chorr.
As you know I had a super clean MK5 GTi, and wanted to sell it before the mileage reached 100k, and just an excuse to upgrade.
So I replaced it with a Roc R.
The Specs:
2012 Scirocco R
Indium Grey Metallic
Manual
Sunroof
Dynamic Chassis Controld
Dynaudio Sound System
RCD510 with Bluetooth
89 000KM
Full Service History with VW.
Some Pics of the chorr:
On day 2 of owning the car I bought a RNS510 Unit, got a GPS antenna(for free), Installed the Radio, Did Some VCDS, and Boom, my ROC now has Navigation, that shows up on MFD as well. I also updated the firmware to the lastest compatible firmware for the RNS510, increasing speed, and giving the unit the newer look and feel. (sorry for the lower quality and detail of the pics at this stage, was just too excited to do everything pics slipped my mind, if anyone wants to see more or know more about the navigation install, I will do a more in detail look):
RCD:
RNS:
MFD Directions
Also within the first week, I had to check the cam follower as I do not want that to fail, luckily the one that was in the car was spotless.
I also decided to get the rims resprayed gloss black, as it ties into the accents of the car alot better that the silver did, and makes the car look mean and menacing as it should be!
I also replaced the VPS on the headlights (it was quite mangy) and put on a very light smoke on the headlights, just to darken the front of the car a little more.:
VPS on the Right, No VPS on the Left
And then the inevitable, a DP and intake to really wake the car up.
Before the DP I wasn't even aware the Roc R had a valve in the exhaust, after the DP just shy of 4000 RPM the valve opens and the sound is amazing <3<3
Some drone shots:
