I sat in one at JIMS! It certainly has a special feel to it and understand why you made the move. There are not alot of "drivers" cars around and I certainly feel that this is one.In time,I'm sure it will be a cult classic.

Congrats on the purchase Mo!

Congratulations Mo!!

I for one do appreciate the qualities of these small fun balanced RWD cars, so I understand and respect your decision to purchase one of these.

I really like the 86 and hope you have a great time in it for many many troublesome miles.

This is a write up I did on the 86 when I still had my 2011 MX5.

And trust me when I say that the future looks bleak for my e90 M3 should the opportunity present itself to own another new MX5

Just remembered, this is the second Fanatic that sold his e46 M3 for a GT86!

A trend?

After weeks of contemplating options, going back on forth between brands, deciding whether I wanted a luxury car or sports car, I finally took the plunge on a Toyota GT86 and here it is:

Got it for almost 2 weeks now and put on just over 1500KM on it and it is an amazing vehicle.

This car will polarise opinions. My respect to all those people who translate power into fun - unfortunately this car is certainly not for you. There are no bragging rights for performance. However, this is one of those cars that will make you take the longer road home...

Coming from the E46 M3 and 330d, I was very, very concerned about the lack of power and torque this car has, but this car certainly makes up for it in other areas. Not saying it's better or worse than any BMW out there, but this car has a X factor to it that cannot be expressed until you drive it.

For me, this car also represents a particular time in my life. Back in the 90s, there were a few cars that I really loved but could never afford at the time - the BMW E30 325i and E34 M5, the Toyota GLI Twincam, the Golf CTI, to name a few. While not the fastest by todays standard they all offered something unique in terms of a special driving experience. For me, the GT86 appeals to that era of car. It is a time when driving made you feel special. Not everyone is going to get that and this is not the car for everyone. For me, it is driving heaven.

Check this out... and it's alot cheaper than you'd think: https://www.facebook.com/rmsinnovation22?ref=stream

Congratulations :bravo: Absolutely lovely car and it can be used everyday without costing an arm or a leg. I'd take this over a hot hatch any day. When I'm due another car I'd seriously consider an 86 or BRZ. RWD FTW

Congrats Mo!

I won't prescribe for you what to do, merely re-state that you should enjoy the car AS IS. It's perfectly set up for maximum fun as is.

Enjoy
