@KSingh... Just Software... I dunno how it was done, but thats the info I have. I will have to test it on a Dyno the Fanatics know as a reference then see how it fairs against the Dyno Results I have currently.

@LPM320... Keep it on the Downlow, Not many people aware of this purchase. I am not sure when Ill drive down to Durbs next. Will be flying down on business alot in the near future.

...but one thing is for certain. I do not like the runflats. theyre way too hard for my liking.

From what I see in the pic of your car, I know exactly why! Those Continental RFT's are excessively bad!! Hard yes, noisy, but terrible handling characteristics - if it's anything like what I had with mine, the car will feel twitchy and almost unstable on the open road, and suffer badly from tramlining!

The Bridgestone RE050 RFT's are breath of fresh air by comparison! Pirelli P Zero RFT's are also particularly good from what I've heard, just a bit scarce at the moment. Michelin Pilot Sport 2 RFT's are highly regarded too, but pricey and also difficult to find!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Much appreciated.

@Phillip Foglar - Bro you hit it on the head. I was a little concerned about the handling, feels a bit twitchy. Guess that Ill have to get used to it for a lil bit cos I dont have the money for a new set of RFT's just yet.

Will probably go with the Bridgestones next time.

Well, for the first 6 months I had the Continental RFT's all around, then briefly had the Hankook RFT's which were superb, but not BMW Approved. Then back to the Continental RFT's all round - the old front tyres were replaced with new ones, and the tyres then rotated front to rear, so new at the rear and the original but good pair in front. Back to being horrible and noisy!

Then got the used set of 335i wheels and Bridgestone tyres (less than 50% tread left) and the car feels a million times better!!! And not by any stretch of the imagination am I imagining this - put the old wheels and tyres back on so that I can clean up the 335i wheels a bit, and the car feels terrible again! Pulls left or right depending the road camber, feels almost floaty or mushy with light steering inputs or holding a straight line.

Pirelli's seem to be a bit low on stock at the moment, but Bridgestones seem to be available and in this size doesn't hurt the bank as nearly as much as the 18" narrow/wides!

Thanks guys.

The thing that concerns me about the super power is the reliability of the thing.

I assume that with the extreme power there is gonna be increased wear on the components, especially the turbo. I assume that with a milder map the car would be more reliable, but this does not appear to be a mild map. At almost 30kw and 100nm over stock, I assume that its a pretty wild map (seeing as I am new to the whole remap thing, these are merely assumptions)...

@Karthik - LOL Dude.. I know what you mean. But I think its a good sign that Ive stuck with only BMW's. I was reflecting this morning and realised that since July 2010 (when I sold my Corsa 160is Sport) this is my 5th BMW. Luckily its always been a move up... e46 318i, 325i, 330D, e90 320d and now this e90 330d. I think that Im gonna hang onto this car for a lil while.

Hankook.............+1

Now is any of the turners doing the software upgrades on the autobox in sa........ I read online it really changes how the box comes into its own. Very sharp and responsive ......A plus as the autos can handle more torque down low to the manuals as you got to stage it to save the clutch from been destroyed
