You can never go wrong with a "d", the performance, the consumtion and that feeling of torque just putting you back in that seat so hard!! AWSOME!!!

When I bought the 320d the other day, there was this 2011 330d LCI, the salesman just kept on telling me to take it for a spin, and I told him there's no way, cause then I would have been very upset right now!! Haha!
Will leave that one for my next buy!

Just got a call from BMW saying they found the fault on the car. The cam Timing was off.....So let’s see how this goes.

Plus side is they put a new fly wheel, pressure plate and clutch plate for me....

So added bonus....

But guys honestly ill keep this on for a few months and will defiantly be getting a 330D.....

Dont do it... These farm vehicles run on the devils juice... Diesel...

Im keeeding... I loves my D. I know that if I have to buy another car for me, it would be another 330d.

lots of people argue that the torque gives a false sense of speed (ive heared this in conversation a few times with non diesel drivers). I dare them to drive a 330d and tell me thats not fun and fast.

anyways, I hope that your car is finally right.

I would say... diesels sound crap. Nothing like the sound of a straight 6... but I drive an e90 325i the other day and after several goes at trying to start it and then discovering it had started first time... new cars are too quiet.

I think the WOOOSHHH of diesel acceleration is a bit like a cheap rush like poppers. While petrol is more of a life altering acid trip...

Alot of guys who bash the diesels have actually never driven one.
And for those guys that drive petrol ebgines that try a diesel, they know why diesel drivers like the deisels so much.

To each his own. theres always going to be pros and cons to each of the cars and fixating on the torque rush, or the inefficiency of petrol is a debate best left for honda forums. :yuck:

In the end, if a diesel is what you like, and you get one, good for you. If you think diesels are slow and would rather get a petrol for "real" speed, good for you.

In the end, its all good, as long as you stick with BMW.

Now if only they could spend some money in delivering good after-sales service(this is obviously a generalisation, but most BMW owners have experienced more than one instance of shit service), they would have something. The reality for me, is that more than one lousy after-sales experience is too much.

Every single person I have taken in my 330d has told me, "but it doesn't sound like a diesel!" They just comment on how awsome the turbo sounds, and when I put my foot down they grip the seat and tell me how they are going to buy a diesel as there next car! Then when they see the petrol consumption they ask me if its real and how is that possible?

There is no sense of false speed here that I can assure you! When im on the highway and I put my foot down and look at my speedo I don't think its lying to me. (Plus another thing, a friend of mine has a heavily modded Ford Fiesta ST, he raced my 325i, 325 convertable, and 525i and destroyed them in rolling runs and off the line was just a joke it was like I put the car in reverse, He raced plenty stock E46 330i and beats them, Then he raced my stock 330d and I beat him, he raced my 330d after a simple down pipe and decat and I pulled football fields on him, so I don't think there is any false sence of acceleration) and I haven't even done software yet.

I had a run with a modified 325ti a couple weeks ago, I had a passenger in my car and this guy came flying past me, I caught up to him and passed him and continued to pull car lengths on the guy. These cars are not slow I can promise you that.

Also the sounds you hear from a 320d or 330d when you have removed the cat and put a down pipe are very cool, the turbo is loud enough that the sound of diesel engine becomes a distant memory! and besides a 330d with full exhaust sounds frikken bad ass! its only the idle that sounds a bit rough on a 6 cylinder diesel.

Just keep in mind, its 10 years old, with any older car, there will be stuff to replace, petrol or diesel.
