Its a pleasure bro, i am always around if you need anything.

there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum as well and everyone
here actually helps...... well most of the time :eek:mgwaiting:

You will see on the meets and runs and stuff there admin and mods
are a lekker bunch of oaks and go out their way to make it fun and promote the family vibes.

Out of all the forums i am on, gotta say this is one of the better ones that i enjoy probably the most.

So on the 21 July before any mods were done bearing in mind the guy I bought the car from said it has a mild Map for economy I went to KAR for a Dyno, needed to get a base figure (well almost base due to the mild software):fencelook:,

as soon as i got home after the Dyno, I let the car cool down nicely and began fitting the 335i cooler which i sourced from a fellow fanatic (Kamz) which @low_flyer (Kyle) actually arranged for me.
Just a picture to show the difference between the stock and 335i cooler.

On the 28th July I booked with Keithan (RK Motion) and had the software done, I literally cannot explain the difference the new software has made, its like a completely different car:smilebounce:

At this point I couldn't wait any longer to let her start roaring, so last week Thursday 2 August went to one of my friends exhaust shops and had the Downpipe and exhaust done with a split rear.
Will post a few pics as soon as I get the Tow Bar removed as the previous owner did not have the key.

Great stuff. Your stock power seem on par. I predict between 200 and 210kw after the tune and about 100nm. The difference is day and night. Hope you enjoy it.

Remember it’s pre-LCi, so it’s actually at least 20-25kw higher than it would be when stock.

With a nice and strong map OP could be looking at around 215kw and 700nm+ on the pre-LCi.

@sash car is a prime example of what a pre-LCi motor (M57) is capable of if it’s in good shape mechanically.

Hopefully you get the power you are hoping for:cartel:

The mild file makes it Durban stock...:cartel:

Good point :biglol: if only we had Durban's Air here :praise:

The black smoke will be the same, up here or down at the coast. :smilebounce:

I'll go to Durban and take one 2L coke bottle and fill it with Durban Air, then come back here and see if Durban air in JHB makes blacker smoke :roflol:
