My F20 M135i Journey

Hey All,

Awhile back I joined the forum in my search for a BMW M135 and some advice, along the way I got some great pointers reading previous posts and getting others to help out on the history of the cars I had as options using the VIN number. Anyways, soon after I finally found a lovely F20 that I was extremely happy, colour wise, steering wheel wise and overall conditional of the car was stunning, the interior did not even look like it was a day old.

The the bug bit to get some changes to the car done and get it into the shape I wanted (Im extremely pedantic about the car and so is my family with their cars). The car had a few nicks and scratches externally in what looked like your standard shopping mall incidents but it still bugged me. Que the repair stage as part one to my journey.

Car was sent in about 2 weeks ago, we marked all the little things that I could see (which at the end looked terrible when one stepped back) but I really went to town and wanted everything small or big sorted on the body with my biggest issue being a deep paint chip on my drivers door from what looks like another door opening against the car.

Then came the cosmetic aspects that I wanted done at the same time (the wheels are still up in air at the moment as Im not to sure what I want to do there hence why they have been left the stock colour). All these changes will be wrapped up finally with a detailing and ceramic coating which I cannot wait for.

Pictures and task list all includes below :) Both during fixing phase and now during detailing phase.

I’m on the looking now for a full body side kit for the car just not to sure what to look at and who to look at. I dig the front of the Maxton kits but not so much the rear of them. Any suggestions are welcome needs to be black not carbon or any of the sorts.

Additionally does anyone have a contact for full side mirrors? My right mirror has some slight marks on and would love to replace it.

Then lastly some pics the GF put together from the day I bought the car to the day after detailing.
