Then onto the bumper, It was not really in too bad a state, but seeing as everything else was going to look new I had to touch up some spots on the bumper. I just wanted to fix the damaged part and blend in the paint and clearcoat, but thinking back it would have been much easier just to repaint the whole bumper.
You guys need to Excuse me as I am in no way a panel beater and all my work gets done out of Aerosol cans with a home made spray booth out of drop sheets:rollsmile:
Damage to bumper, I will just tell myself that the marks were there when we purchased the car lol
Then the task of sanding and filling and imperfections and scratches, over and over and over.
Plastic adhesion promoter and plastic primer applied.
Then a light matt black mist coat was done and sanded to check for any waves etc
Color test was done on another piece of ABS plastic to see for color match (Primer, base coat and clear coat)
Then the parts were painted separately, only in base coat. Lets see if you can spot where the old color and new color was blended together.
Applied clear coat last night and will flat and polish tomorrow if I am happy with the results.
This was before clear coat last night...

Shaun can you please give me more info on the epoxy paint that you use?
Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy. Takes about 7 days to cure, but with the correct prep work it comes out smooth as glass and has high gloss and durability.
