Thanks for all the kind words and support gents, it really means a lot and pushes the motivation up to start my own thing.

For the past 18 months I have been contemplating going the PDR route and this has pushed me ever more in that direction. I have been inquiring for the past year on courses etc, and I think this will be my main income if all works out.

pdr = Paintless dent removal

I think if you go PDR as well as detailer you could do very well.
Especially if you manage to get into a contract with Dent Doctor, etc.
Goodluck man!

Sorry to hear bud.

Agree with the other guys. Start your own thing.

With regards to PDR, my Mrs has been doing it for over 12 years and it’s getting tougher to keep dealers. They want the cheapest and don’t worry about quality until a clients complain :roflol:

Will take some time to get out there as there are plenty “PDR” people
Out there. Some of the quality of work is shocking. Your attention to detail is amazing. Always admired the work you do in general.

New things will come into place where you need to be accredited to do so. Which will make it harder for the fly by night PDR people out there to stay in business :cartel:

You are good at so much so you must just have faith and follow your gut.

Good luck and I know you will be a success no matter what you decide to do.

Maybe you can check the suspension for me too? :smilebounce:

Thanks for the feedback Donny, I was going to call your misses to get her input as she did a fantastic job on my car.

I feel dealerships are not where the money lies, because as you say they just want the cheapest quote. I feel the private sector and car enthusiasts are were the money is at. Nothing like having a group PDR session at a venue offering a braai and cold beers to get some vehicles rolling in.

I have my business plan set out, will commence with my course first week in May hopefully.

Afternoon Bud

I still have the old rear bumper but I will first see what I sell the car for privately before going to the drastic measure of removing the rear Msport bumper.

The front Lights I am opening up to replace the two inner LED rings that have a dead led on each ring, then I will be trading them for stock lights + cash difference. Luckily with that it will be a straight swop and not sitting without lights for a while.

I have started stripping parts off the car the weekend and will post soon what is available.
