When I was in my 20s, this was the car that I wanted but could not afford.

Right now the car I want and can't afford is the 220d

Hopefully in 3 years time.

If you are married with kids by then, you will get a used 320d and put the money saved over a 220d into racing stripes and the rest into your bond. True story...

I think if you in the market for a 135i/335i then you don’t care about fuel consumption.
I for one won’t mind selling my 320d and get a 335i. I know it won’t give me the same consumption but it’s also not the same engine size

In traffic conditions you’ll more than likely get closer to 13-14l/100km.

11l/100km will be possible with some open road driving in between.
