Shiny new parts

BMW was kind enough to walk the extra mile by getting them to me in a mere 8 months since date of payment. Now that is what I call service.:fencelook:

Decided to check the valve clearances on the M5 and do an oil change afterwards. It has only done 2000km since the last oilchange, but that was already 1.5 years ago.

This is what it looks like after 22 years………. Unopened before.

5 out of the 24 valves need shimming as they are just out of spec.

Max clearance is 0.33mm and 3 measured 0.35mm, while 2 measured 0.34mm.

When I reassemble I would finally have the chance to fit the new solid gold bars (I mean new plug leads :rollsmile: )
