Car looks in great condition...your old man must take good care of his car!

My dad looks after her, we got it as a one owner from an Englishman who imported it, owever, before we got it, it had been let to a rather brash individual who abused it somewhat...

As a result, the double sunroof that it has no longer operates normally and gets stuck, and the cubby hole locking mechanism is broken.

Other issues are a missing rear wiper blade that we cannot seem to locate ANYWHERE, and a fuel flap which a petrol attendant broke off cleanly...

Besides these issues she drives magnificently, and we have been told by a specialist that these imports have been tuned slightly, and push out in the region of 160Kw as a result.

This can certainly be felt, as my dad is no stranger to the BMW straight six, having owned 4 previous 3 series BMWs, which included two 325i e36s.

I was in the process of cleaning the car whe I took the pics, and wanted to do so before sunset, which is why the interior looks as it does in the pics.

As you can see, the previous owner also had the corona ring angel eye headlamps installed.

Next on the agenda is a decent service, and then dad would like to chip it...:excited:

Dual-sunroofs are a problem area on the E34 Tourings - check up on Bimmerforums for solutions. The fuel filler flap is also a weak point.

Tell that "specialist" that he is smoking his socks as import or not, they make the same power (141kw) from the factory.

Then something must have been done to the Touring that he had on the dyno, after conservative conversion those are the flywheel figures... but thatone may just have been REEEALY efficient then...having driven in both the 325i and now the Touring, i CAN say however, that for a much larger vehicle, it feels much quicker, and is much more responsive... however, i could maybe put that down to what seems like a non-standard exhaust system, as shown in the pics...
