My climate controls has a mind of its own

Hey all, yesterday I was driving my 335i (usually driven by my wife) and I noticed that the climate control keeps coming on even after I have switched it off. Asked her about it, she said she also noticed that everytime she starts the car it comes on, she then switches it off, but as she is driving, it comes on again. After switching it off, it takes about 4 minutes then it comes to life again. What is wrong with it, do I need to take it to the dealers or is there a reset button somewhere. You know the dealer will want the car for the entire day. Any help will be appreciated

The e46's can do something similar to this, caused by the final stage resistor, not sure how similar though as on the e46 the fan just gets a mind of its own.

Just a question isnt there a button on the steering wheel that puts the a/c on on the E90's and should be on the E series aswell.... not saying you pressing the button all the time lol but just finding out if that button could perhaps get stuck lol

Check and see if you ate in a auto recycle. That seems to confuse the system.
Have the issue on my 135
