My wife had a 2000 Citigolf 1.4i, which as registered on my name for finance reasons etc etc. She hated the car because of a very stiff clutch, so I took it over as a run-about to work and back, and I agree with Herr Arbee, I absolutely loved it for some odd reason. Maybe because I'm one of those people who gets used to whatever piece of metal you plonk me on and then finds something to love about it...

What I loved about that car was that it could do 60km/h in fifth gear at about 1100rpm or so. That meant that if I timed the traffic lights just right, I could drive all the way through town with the windows down, elbow out the window radio boomin... another form of Joy quite similar to the advertised BMW version :p

But that little 1.4i was a lively bugger, almost wrecked myself once or twice when taking a gap in traffic and underestimating the power/mass ratio.

Also had some ECU fun with that car (the MP9 ecu). It has a bug in the firmware causing it not to adapt properly to a cleaned/replaced throttle body. Luckily the guys at Hex Microsystems sorted me out with a reset.

Had to sell it because my wife wanted a car of her own.

Thanks Guys, i have been really enjoying the 330i. Fuel Consumption is great compared to the 5 and power, oh my god, the power is awesome...

Heres a few more pics i snapped today after a good wash... I did the smartwax leather cleaner and conditioner, the leather was in great condition, its even better now. Plus, it has the leather smell also.

Very nice pick up, looks like the full package. You just need the OEM xenon headlights now, I have a set if you're interested.

Thanks Gizmo... Actually not the full package, i would have liked the rear blinds and pdc's but i suppose its things that i can live without... Xenons i would love. What the cost of them and would it be a straight fit?
