Afternoon al

Starting this thread to record all maintenance and mods on my 2011 BMW 320d. It's and LCI manual. Here's my original thread: Finally a BMW owner again | BMWFanatics

So it's been a little over 18 months now and still extremely happy with the car. Been to Ross Duncan twice and mileage has now gone up to 111000km from 98000 when I got it. Working from home during lockdown has certainly kept mileage low which I am quite grateful for. Wish I had done more during this time but a combination of factors and other priorities has made that quite challenging (studies, baby, moving to new house etc.).

Mid to long term I will be doing DP and software, but that will have to wait until next year. Also, I like these rims (285) and they still look good but the 286's just look fantastic on an LCI e90. Also, would like to upgrade the entertainment system but have not yet seen a suitable product that I like.

Up next: car came with the front bumper in bad shape, with me contributing to the situation recently :( . Respray of the entire front bumper will hopefully happen next week. Would also like to fit smash and grab before the end of the year. Already have quotes from a few places in Pretoria, looking at 35% 100 micron.

Here are some pics (and my dog based on previous requests lol)

Front bumper was recently resprayed by N4 Autocraft. Very happy with their service and I think it looks pretty nice. Would also like to have the bonnet re-done as someone did a poor job of it in the past.

Also, due to lockdown and being able to work from home, I have only clocked about 2000kms since May 2020 . Mileage currently at around 112000km.

I suspect the shocks are due for replacement, will have to get that checked out pretty soon. Want to do software eventually but if my mileage remains so low not sure I see the benefit. I'd rather do the basic maintenance items and some cosmetic upgrades.

List of items to do:
  1. EGR delete
  2. DP + software
  3. Shocks
  4. Dampener pulley belt & v-belt
  5. Bonnet respray + full detail

Awesome, sounds like you have a good plan there. Not a bad idea to take her on the open road for a drive seeing as you've done such low km's recently.
