my BMW 318i won't start

I recently bought a bmw 318i e46 the engine was not where it should be,(was in boot) i had the engine re-built and bought new parts,the engine pressure is good. but it won't start the mechanic suspected the coil pack then computer box / the key, i took it for diagnosis they checked it and they say the computer box is ok but i must change the sensor plate. can anyone advise bcos i've lost a lot of money now i wanna drive my car like a KING:roflol:
anyone with a solution or has had/experienced this problem please help.
