Hi guys,

so...my 320d is back from the parlour...picked her up on Friday...eased on through everything with the car, got acquainted again and yesterday was VW Club SA'a Track day...so we decided to have drag after 3pm....

so the following went down:

Modded RXi - 2 cars to me
ED35 Golf 6 with Revo only - from the line he took me, held him till round 3/4 the track then he past...half car length by the end to him
Decatted Jetta 4 TDi - 2 cars and a bit more to me
Stage 2 Seat Leon FR - Had him all the way till the end, i was about half car in front but he was gaining VERY rapidly, top end was going to murder me for sure!!!

Other kills on saturday...C200K and C180CGI, both from the line, 2 cars and opening for some odd reason...

Now my question is...did i get really lucky or os the car running on par? i feel the car is running quiet strong for a 2.0 diesel compared to other 2.0 diesels that i have driven. I am contemplating on doing software in the near future for sure, but would like to gauge at the performance compared to other 320d auto's.

EDIT to add: Fuel consumption after the hard drive to the track, dragging at the track, and hard drive back to Honeydew...8.0l/100km....normal driving this morning, saw it back to 6.7l/100km..

Nice races. I had a run in with a modded Megane RS Cup 2012. Had stage 2 software. Off the line. Destroy him and pull ahead by 3 cars and stayed there until 200+

Rolling run, second gear, immediately pull ahead by a car and slowly start walking him. He stays at just about under 2 cars length till we stop. Very nice guy, was awesome runs. Those RS cars are not slow when modded. Was surprised that at higher RPM I could not pull away. He would stick with me once he has boost, but initial acceleration from the ///M is what gave me the edge.

i shouldve tried him out but damn...Brendan's SLK mightve given me such a PK...i wouldve went home limping ha ha!!!
but i am happy it runs well, so when it gets the TLC from you, it should feel much better:thumbs:
