My baby got hit hard :(

So Friday night I was on the M13 heading towards Durban, it was raining and I hit a wet patch on a slight bend and instinct said brake. Stupid thing to do. Car slid, hit the barriers on either side of the freeway like a ping pong ball then proceeded to spin and hit another golf, that car unfortunately is a write-off by the looks of it,chassis looked warped and entire rear of the golf went in and roof creased...from just 1 hit of the bm.

So these are a few pics of my car, only 3 and not showing total damage as the rear was hit too, I hurt my shoulder so wasn't in any shape to take decent pics. This has got to be the shittiest feeling ever. Just waiting for the quote from SMG and then will submit to insurance.

Ouch bud. Your car will be write-off unfortunately. If not, it will be a close call by the insurance. I'd say R90k

Used some trans-act last night, seems to have healed a bit, now only hurts once i apply pressure on it. This was technically my fault and the other guy isn't insured so our insurance should cover it, just waiting in agony for the quote. I also assumed it would be write off as the car value is only +/-70k so damage is definitely more than that.
This is really depressing.

Ouch Buddy. Not a pretty sight at all.

Luckily you walked away relatively unharmed.

Hope that shoulder heals quickly.

Again, sorry to read this.

Im just glad your ok dude.

Think of it this way, your BMW did its job perfectly, had you have been in something not as well built... it could have been way worse.

Thats,

Bonnet
Bumper with spots
Grille's
headlight
Aircon Radiator
Drivers door
Possibly front wheel (repair)
Your looking at 25k just for parts (and thats conservative)

Now depending on the chassis, if there is damage, she is gonners for sure

The other problem is that is a very difficualt color to spray, you would have to respray all the way from the front and blend into the back doors, so thats half a car respray as well.

And that paint is going to be expensive as well.

Did you pop the windscreen/hurt the A-Pillers at all ? any airbags

she's going to be a writeoff, sorry bout that buddy :(

Ouch, sorry to hear that.

At least you are intact, cars can be repaired/replaced but lives can't.

Hope you get it sorted one way or another.

Total of 87k damage :bawling:
This is a guaranteed write-off. Just waiting for the other oke to send me his quote and I'll submit the claim.
I have a feeling both cars are write-offs. No airbags popped, weird, had my seatbelt on.
Parts alone excl paint came to 45k.

aish bad luck mate, glad noboday got seriously hurt.

I'd say your car will be a write off, if not will be a high amount. maybe the best thing to do would request the car to be written off.

Sorry man.
