MY 540i - Love it!!!!

Hi guys,
Here is my car I got on Friday....and I'm loving it. What I got for what I paid...great buy!

Orient Blue, 1999, 168000 on clock, all for only R72000! Nice.

A couple of things that I would like to sort out though...
1. When I hit 95km/h the back door start to "suck" and it only gets worse...I checked the rubbers, perfect. Checked the door, closes perfect. What could it be?

2. The cd player, fm radio and tv sound will just go mute for a second or two and then come back on. Whether I hit a bump or not.

3. Is it possible to have the tv screen stay on while driving? It is only for the passengers sake.

1) Eish, no idea. Sorry

2) Saw this one somewhere before. I think SirSparky had the same problem with his E39 back in the day. Maybe he can shed some light.

3) As far as I know... No. Not even for the passenger. Safety risk.

1. Check all the seals.. It's probably a weak seal or a tear in a seal. Look carefully.

2. Loose plug or damaged wire where the radio/amp etc are located. (Left side of boot, behind cover)
Check cables and plugs.

Now for the steel balls test - put your foot down and hold it down for 15 seconds - I guarentee you, one of the following. 1. Traffic will get in your way 2. Road will have a bend so you have to slow down. or 3. chicken out before 11 seconds even if the road is clear because it one mother.ucker of a beast lol

kickass ! lol, you have the same colour as mine, same year also .. I bought mine 3 years ago for 100K tho, with 155K on the clock, so your mileage is pretty good there.. mine WAS steptronic also.. exactly the same except I have the business radio instead of the tv.. and I now have black interior .. lol.
