I'm seriously thinking about making the car lower. Any guys can share their experiences and recommendations on springs to go with. Take into account the 437m wheels (and the front lip )

My M2C rides on KW V3 and is lowered about 15mm. I can take some measurements. I is the lowest I would go as speed bumps make me cringe. It has a front lip as well.

H&R brother, so many guys contemplate other springs and H&R always have the best measurement of low, it sits almost perfect!

Thanks Bro, I'm assuming you're referring to the Sport version which I believe is 30mm lower all around from what I've read? And the Super sport being even lower than that..

Don't go super sport, suspect it will be too low and also rub on the M wheels. Sport should be right, @Riaad was undertaking the research into this for his 30d.

Yep that is it and it is perfectly suited for daily and some kak roads.

SuperSport is much lower...10mm more to be exact and I would day it is suited for a Sunday cruiser....

H&R Super Sport is to low to daily especially with the performance lip and 19" rims.
I have ET45 10J on the rears with H&R SS on my F30, it doesn't touch unless there is a hectic dip on the road.

@Riaad was undertaking the research into this for his 30d.

H&R sport is 30mm and SuperSport is 45mm (iirc) - this is based on non m-sport measurements.

Info online indicates that the sport doesn't really drop m-sport cars - something between 10 and 15mm (basically not enough to close the massive wheel gap), it sort of looks like the m-sport e90 stock height.

SuperSport looks the best - but lowers a bit too much for the daily driver, if you go this route - expect to lose the front splitter.

The guys don't complain of any touching issues with oem M wheels on F30s (245s front and 265 rears) - I would assume you would run into issues when the car is loaded.

all options will kill the stock shocks as well.

I have a set of ACS springs - supposedly a good options that improves handling, does not kill comfort or the stock shocks - Will give feedback when I eventually get down to fitting.

nb. Get F80 bump stops with any lowering spring (its about R1k for all 4)

Thanks for this information, very insightful.
Let me know how it goes with the ACS springs.

I'm also exploring the Eibach option but having trouble finding the right height. From what I've been told the Pro is 15mm and the Sportline is 40mm...

Check my signature pic, that is Sports on my M135i...sits perfectly...look slower than M-Sport but its the perfect height for daily ease of use. Look too close for comfort but handled well, and one the F30, it should be even better.

PS , ACS is "usually" just rebranded Eibach springs

Did you eventually fit the ACS springs?

Another year gone by and no real updates. The car has still been a super reliable daily and a beast when you want to it to be. Besides the regular oil service, new spark plugs and new front brake pads, nothing else has been touched.

Last month it went in for a detailing and polishing. I was very impressed with the results, especially after seeing some of the before and after close up pics of the paint work..

Here are a few pics after the polish:
