Well I could have gotten a G7 for a little less than I paid for this....Paid R400k for the ED35...
The ED35 comes stock with a k04 turbo and takes very well to mods....
The G7 doesnt have a k04 turbo and also the manifold is built into the head making it very difficult to do a turbo swap like the guys were doing on the normal G6 GTI's.....Also the G7 doesnt come with the performance pack option in SA....
The other thing is that the Ed35 will hold better value as its a special edition car, and the G7 will still have a lot of teething problems as its a whole new engine design....as was the case with the first N54's....
I wanted a car for the next 2-3years until the M235 comes out and this seemed like a much better buy than the G7....
