Hi All

I recently got my hands on this barge:smilebounce:. Always had a soft spot for the shark nose BMW. Been wanting one for a while. I settled for a 7 series as the 6 series prices are a bit steep.

The car is in fairly good condition for it's age. It does have some small issues which I will sort out when the car arrives in Durban. Here are some pics. Will post some more when the car arrives home.

Congratulations sweet ride, those seats are amongst the most comfortable I've sat on. My dad had a 728 in the same color and after a 733 in a champagne silver color....

Congrats on the purchase mate, she looks really good the interior also looks great.

**sorry for derailing** I’ve always been curious to know where forum members with older Auto cars take their cars when they have an issue with the gearbox?

Thank you all for the kind words:ty:

So my car finally arrived after 2 weeks:smilebounce:(Was mistakenly sent to Pretoria and then took a week to come to Durban:banghead: Will give it a nice clean up over the weekend and post some pics on here.

I am very impressed with the way this car rides, very comfortable, and those seats! Feels like you're sitting on a couch and driving lol. Oh and the exhaust note, it's just awesome:smilebounce::smilebounce:

Items that need attention/need to be replaced:
Brake discs and pads
Rev counter not working
RHS door trim piece - Chrome piece missing

Those seats are the most comfortable that I've experience in a car. Feels like you're sitting on your sofa and driving:smilebounce:

My dad had a green 728i. Just beautiful. I remember how big the seats felt.
Congrats
The green is a nice colour! Would have loved to have a green one.

I actually saw this car at WBC in Centurion bout 3 weeks ago :)
Many happy memories bud
Thank you! Haha yes, they sent it there instead of sending it to Durban.

A small update:

The brakes on the car were very bad. Upon checking the pads, we found that 1 rear pad was seized and the front ones were the wrong size and they were forced in. I replaced all 4 pads, bled the brakes and did an oil change over the weekend. The car drives a lot better now. I was finally able to take it for a proper spin:smilebounce:

Here's some pics which I took over the weekend:
