motorplan update

I received an email from motor plan to tell me my service was done and it gives the details of the parts booked.
My question is are the oilfilter and the micro filter the same as the E90 as these are the parts they have booked.
I worry that the parts where pulled for an e90 under my motor plan, used on a 3series and nothing was done to my car.

Any ideas?

Was (might still) going to post a thread to find out a bit about motorplan servicing and what you can and should ask (insist) them to do. My car's Service light has come on based on the fact that it is due for a service in Jan 2012, so time based rather than mileage. On the service info everything else seems to still have lengthy distance remaining or a future dated time which will of course then be after the motorplan expires for this car - which is around June 2012.

So my basic question is: What can I insist that they do/replace etc? This will basically be my first and last motorplan service since owning the car, so just want to know exactly what to expect and what I can realistically expect them to do. Software updates, would there be any? Is it updated free of charge under motorplan, do/don't it? Wheel alignment, is that part of their service inspection and covered by motorplan? I would think any work to be carried out not covered by motorplan would have to be authorised by myself before being done.

Anything else to consider?

Tell them suspension feels shaky and you have slight shudder on first gear. Check your engine bay for an oil leak. I check my engine bay every weekend for any tell tale sign of something that may go wrong. Brakes they will only change if the pads have less than 5mm pad life.

Well, brakes do have that annoying brake wear sensor squeal, so going to insist that they sort that out. Otherwise the brakes are still fine, but be nice if they replace the disks and pads. Clutch is also still 100% - in one mind I'd prefer them to fiddle as much as possible, but I know that clutch kits and dual mass flywheels are expensive. There are a few rattles that I am going to have them attempt to sort out. With regards to the suspension, most definitely - going to lay it on thick since they force a person to use BMW Approved tyres, so any slightly worn components can gladly be replaced.

No traces of any oil leaks, but will take a closer look again, especially around the oil filter holder. As with most E90 engines, mine does use some oil, but I think 1ltr in a bit over 8k km is nothing to worry about.

Should I have the codes read before taking the car in for any tell tale signs of things that might be wrong?

And then, in CPT area, any specific dealers to go to and not to go to?

For suspension components to be changed tell them that the car is unstable over uneven surfaces and in the wet and when you go over bumps there is a thudding noise through the car. For the brakes tell them that when breaking from speed over 160 there is a terrible intermittent shudder(not the abs) and the brakes don't grip well. For the clutch tell th it shudders on inclines so at least they can reset and bleed the clutch if they don't change it. Also tell them your wipers are terrible in heavy rain.
