Pay money, and they inspect! :)

Anything covered by M/Plan will be fixed prior to transfer (at no extra cost)
They may also quote you for any cosmetic issues, but you dont have to have this done to transfer the M/plann in to your name

I am assuming you are transferring the motorplan onto your name?

If the above is correct:

1. ID
2. Proof of residence
3. Registration of Vehicle on your name - NATIS
4. Money!!!!!!

They took about 5 to 6 hours with mine and basically make sure the car is not modded in any way and take the ECU configuration and send it of to BMW SA to make sure all is in order.

Hope this helps....

Forgot to mention the transfer is not immediate, once BMW SA gets back to the dealer, they will update the Mplan details to yours and then its officially done :)

I cant remember how much I paid but I know it was more then R1150 and just short of 2 K!!!!

Anyway, yeah its not updated immediately as BMW Mplan will need to reply to the dealer saying that all looks "normal" on the car and then its complete. Prior to this the dealer would have sent the files to BMW MPlan (Assuming they do this immediately)

I did this on a Saturday so maybe thats why it took a few days for me, maybe the MPlan guys were closed on weekends.

Good luck though...

on both occasions I insisted the dealer do it, free of charge, they did, both times

I had a private sale so no luck with this.... But yes if there is a "stealer" then no way would I pay....

Motorplans are for 5 years. What month is your car because if its say January its hardly worthwhile doing this transfer. I think my question is more like are you going to take an extention on your motorplan and what will that cost? Just something to consider.

If mileage is low, it will be cheap. If it is high, just do it!! :=):
