There are two kinds of PC gamers: those who play on Nvidia GPUs, and those who worship at the throne that is AMD.

Both companies offer some serious gaming power in the form of their GeForce and Radeon ranges respectively, with Nvidia the latest to launch a new powerful gaming GPU in the form of the Titan Z.

The latest Steam hardware survey shows Nvidia is dominating the gaming graphics department at the moment, though, with over 50% of Steam gamers part of team “Green”.

Below is a selection of the most powerful – and expensive – Nvidia and AMD gaming graphics cards available in South Africa, to help you decide which side of the fence to stand behind.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX Titan Z – R38,000

The Titan Z is the king of all gaming cards when it comes to sheer specs and price. 12GB of DDR5 memory at a price tag of close to R40,000 are some impressive numbers.

Pretty crazy.

We have a graphics card used only for decoding .R3d camera files from a Red Dragon camera. It's called a RED Rocket X. $7,000.00 excluding tax and import. Call it R80,000.00

Prices of these cards are getting ridiculous.

That Gigabyte GeForce GTX Titan Z looks more like a portable radio than a graphics card. :skit:
