Mo's E39 530i Individual

Resprayed the plastic on the side of the drivers seat this weekend. A quick before and after pic:

Excuse the dirty leather. Also need to find the missing adjustment knob.

Used Rustoleum products from Builders Warehouse.

Was initially going to primer, then go with a separate grey colour. However, the grey primer was almost the right colour..

I then covered with a thin coat of clear semi gloss for protection. Wanted it to remain as matt as possible.

This one's not exactly an update on the car...


Had the 530i badge lying around (not for sale) and an old clear/glass frame, so thought I'd be a bit creative with it:

Just seen the thread now, the car is coming out, amazing great work done Mo and Gizmo.

Update: Mo dropped off his 530i for replacement suspension and to sort out a small water leak.

Bilstein B4 shocks, H&R springs along with all new OEM mounts, bump stops and spring pads.


Original springs had indeed been cut.:thumbdo:








Onto the rear, mounts are difficult to access.




Original rear springs had also been cut.:thumbdo:




Found the water leak. Replaced with new oem hose and temp sensor.


New ride height until the new springs settle.






The car arrived clean so it should leave clean too.:blowheart:


Light error on dash showed up.


Replaced the centre brake light bulb.

Just got home - a nice longish drive between Alberton and Midrand and the car feels superb on the road. Hit a few bad patches of uneven tar and the car absorbs it perfectly. Can't believe that "sports" springs could feel this comfortable. Thanks again Giz for the great work on the car raise: raise: raise:
