Moisture in Indicator

Hi BMWfanatics,

first of all compliments of the season to you all!

I got a small problem with my front right indicator, E 46 318 Touring, F/L 2004 Model.

Somehow water is trapped between the lens and the indicator. It's not inside where the bulb is situated.
Don't laugh, but I took the indicator out and put it in a glass bowl with water, but I still can't see where the water gets in.

Anyone got an idea :thinker:, don't feel like buying a new indicator?

I hate having water seep into lights :banghead::banghead:

Best would be to dry the light, then try seal it with a clear silicone or get a new light.

I had the same problem on one of my previous cars, my granddad took the light out and drilled a tiny hole at the bottom. It helped, but it still irritated me. A few weeks later, i replaced the light...

The hole in the light works, but the light should be a sealed unit. I agree with Arbee drill it and reseal.

Idea: if you put the light in the oven, do think that the epoxy holding the lens to the housing would melt enough to remove the lens?
