I am bent the opposite. :excited:
There are many and I mean many modifications you can do to your car safely and without risking your precious motorplan.
1. You can fit a Bmw performance or Snitcher exhaust without any problems from bmw. I also agree with ZL that it was the "meth" that jeopardised you not the exhaust. The exhaust would have just been a waranty item being questioned with a note. Removing the cats are problematic because they directly impact on the overall performance of the car. But there are safe ways around it. :mmm:
2. You can have your car chipped and cooling system upgraded by bmw without any waranty issues or Snitcher. Or go piggyback!
3. You can install a complete aftermarket suspension from bmw or bilstein or another make without any issues to your motorplan as long as it is installed by the dealer.
4. You can install new bmw performance rims which are bigger and lighter than the stock ones without any motorplan issues.
5. Throw out your seats and replace them with amazing yet expensive racing sport seats from bmw without any issues.
6. Replace that ugly steering wheel with all the F1 bells and whistles without any issues.
7. You can replace many parts of your car with carbon pieces internally and externally without waranty or motorplan concerns.
8. Change out your stock audio for a brilliant Logic 7 system with extra tweeters without any issues. :thumb:
9. You can replace most stock light bulbs on your car without risking anything as long as they dont throw error codes.
10. Replace you front and rear bumper for better looking performance ones without risking your motorplan. :dropjaw:
11. Replace your gear knob & hand brake lever with a fresh suede & carbon look without any motorplan crap.:thumb:
12. Finally, there are many aftermarket performance parts which can be safely installed on your car with zero issues and concerns.
There you have it, I have just modded an entire 135/335 without ANY motorplan implications.
When in doubt, pop in at your local dealer and ask their advice. Most BMW dealers now have a dedicated person right there that is trained and knowledgeable about your motorplan & warranty. There is no BMW conspiracy against modding as people want you to believe. To inquire is FREE, it will not expose you. It is your damn car after all.
If you are really not the asking type, remove ALL mods before services or repairs; including your carbon bits...
