"Modern" cars and corrosion

So, I can get the exact Z4 M Coupe I want, but its lived its whole life down in Cape Town.
Now this is a car I would prefer to keep for a long, long time.
But Im wondering about corrosion issues, since the car is already 8 years old, what will it be like after another 8 to 10 years?

Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated

Me thinks it shouldn't be a problem.
Modern paint tech and anti-corrosion from the factory should keep rust at bay, assuming no previous accident damage that wasn't properly repaired

i looked at z4 with a rebuild back and it was rusted out,

but anytype of crash at the coast i think will eventually rust back out,so if its got no metal accidents i reckon it should be fine

i do believe most modern cars have a 10 year paint protection warranty from rust only(well our hondas do, not sure if this is just dealer choice or brand choice )

but check wheel arches and window sills and floor sills if you do decide to check it out properly

My e46 had / has some minor rust issues. But it was driven 120kms along the cost daily. It's unlikely that there's rust. Are you planning on buying the car blind? Just put it on a lift and inspect it
