Mobridge for Cooper R56

I have recently become the owner of a 2014 Cooper. When I bought the car one of the requirements was Bluetooth (I knew they would have to install an aftermarket system as the vehicle was on the floor with no Bluetooth). To my disappointment they installed a Parrot system that doesn't integrate with the vehicle at all. No caller ID on the head unit, no multifunction steering control etc. After many hours on Google I have come to the conclusion that a Mobridge unit should solve all my concerns and provide what I expect. Does anyone no of a reputable installer that has done this on a Mini in RSA yet? I will appreciate any help.

The parrot is the "approved aftermarket system for BMW/MINI, It even has a part number.

I had the same in my X1 and just upgraded to the model with the Parrot MKi 9200i, It has its own screen and works via the steering controls.

Does that mean that the Mobridge is not approved? My biggest concern with the Parrot is the installation. The control is fixed to the dash using "double sided tape" and I am not a fan of having gadgets fixed to the dash. I suppose I am spoiled with my other vehicles having integrated Bluetooth.

As far as I know, only the parrot is MP friendly. You can confirm with your dealer.

You can eliminate the Parrot control and have the controls via the standard steering buttons. The Parrot MKi 9200i also comes with a screen so you can view your phonebook, call history and media.
