welcome to the forum.

Have you had the codes read? How long did it park off for? My first guess would be fuel supply problem

crank sensor,or even the maf units..normally when the cam sensor goes the crank sensor should also be changed and vice versa.just a thought,do u still have your cats in place.it could also be a blocked cat.could also maybe be vanos solonoids?miss fire issues are kak to diagnose, best bet,get your codes read dude

My M5 did almost the same with me, drove to the shops no problems, parked for 10min, started and idled fine but had no power and a misfire.
Turned out to be the fuel pump. These stuff run 5 bar pres.

the problem started after sitting in traffic for abt an hour cos of an accident.the mechanic also said he is gona check the fuel pressure on monday.i also cleaned the maf sensors with pure alcohol.what does a new fuel pump cost mate cos i hav already spent like 3 grand on cps sensors and stil the car is not fixed.thanx werriesm5

the codes read .a cps sensor was not working at all.changed both on bank 1 back on diagnostics and shows its working now.im really worried cos parts cost an arm and leg.any ideas to purchase maf sensors other than the dealer they want close to 6grand each .

I think I paid R5k for the pump from the stealers but thats more than a year ago, you can probably get them pirate but I have rotten luck with fuel pumps and cos it runs at such high press I didn't want to risk it.

The mafs are dirt cheap on ebay or the old Range Rover with the 4.4 BMW engine's got the same maf, the are cheaper at Landrover

hi guys, had the fuel pump and regulator pressure tested.constant 5 bar and on rev increased.so we now had to luk 4 sumthing else.during the week took out lamda sensors and cleaned them.got a fault read.air mass to dkg not plaudible.today by luk another e39 m5 came in.swapped the air mass metres and wala the car is running fine.drove abt 30 kms.switched off and bak on it started fine.now the problem is the stealer wants six and half grand a piece which amounts to thirteen grand for 2.im skeptical to buy overseas i c them advertised on the net and cost lyk three grand for both.can anybody help me here locally to obtain this bosch sensos.

This takes me back to 24 oct 2009 (my bday) ,opel t-car 1.3
I'm bringin my then girlfriend, now my wife home to meet my family and its the night before my sisters engagement so everybody expecting there, and that too early.
On the way the car starts jerking, like its getting a kick in the behind.
Carrying on like this eventually the fan belt breaks...leading to a flat batt.

After nearly getting a slap from my father I reach home, after renewing the fan belt and charging the batt I get the car started.it idle fine but after driving it,noticed it did the same.from here I went to changing the plugs, leads, coil, distributor cap, rotor, fuel pump and a carb overhaul and it still jerked.
My pride and joy didn make me any proud nor did it bring any joy.
One saturday afternoon while testing and breaking my head my godfather stops by and asks me what's the prob? After relaying my episodes I followed him to his home garage and he solved the puzzel. He made me blow out the fuel line and prob solved.

With cars its always the item we least expect.I always keep that in mind
